Who We Are

Origins and Evolution

WebGlyphs was established in 1996 in Virginia to create and operate The Tocqueville Connection, one of the pioneering digital publications on the then-nascent World Wide Web. Published weekly for a non-profit client, The Tocqueville Connection delivered French and European news and analysis to American scholars during an era when cross-Atlantic information flows were still largely print-based.

As the digital landscape matured, so did our analytical capabilities. We expanded into technology sector analysis, tracking strategic evolution across semiconductors, software, telecommunications, and emerging industries. Concurrently, we developed expertise in intellectual property management, serving both public and private sector clients with portfolios ranging from dozens to hundreds of patents.

The AI Transformation

Throughout this evolution, we increasingly leveraged artificial intelligence while maintaining a specialized focus on validation and chain-of-evidence—ensuring that both human experts and AI systems could verify the provenance of analytical claims. This dual concern for automation and verification became our defining methodological principle.

Strategic Pivot: 2025

In 2025, we recognized that our decades of experience in technology analysis, IP documentation, and evidence-based AI could converge into a novel approach to strategic intelligence. Rather than relying on subjective analyst interpretation of SEC filings, we developed a systematic extraction methodology linking every strategic claim directly to source material through verifiable audit trails with hexadecimal identifiers.

This pivot prompted us to restructure our operations, establishing WebGlyphs as an Arizona-based LLC in 2025 to position ourselves closer to West Coast technology and investment markets while maintaining operational efficiency.

Our Approach Today

WebGlyphs now applies systematic AI extraction to SEC filings, producing strategic intelligence reports with complete provenance tracking. Every report includes JSON audit files enabling independent verification of every analytical statement: no opinions, only verified intelligence with full chain-of-evidence documentation.
